1.2 Plugin Installation

This section covers the first steps when using Product Loops for WooCommerce. Please read it thoroughly now to avoid problems later.

To install this plugin you must have a working version of WordPress and WooCommerce plugin already installed. For information on installing the WordPress platform, please see the WordPress Codex - https://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress. Upon downloading the Product Loops for WooCommerce archive, extract the archive and inside you will find full contents of your purchase. In the main archive you will find product-loops-woocommerce.zip file archive that contains the installable plugin files.

Please Note: You can install the plugin in two ways: inside WordPress, or via FTP. If you have trouble installing the theme inside WordPress, please proceed with installing it via FTP and you will be able to get around the issue

Installing from WordPress

Follow the steps bellow to install from WordPress Dashboard

  • Navigate to Plugins
  • Click Install Plugins and click Add New
  • Click the Upload Plugin button
  • Navigate product-loops-woocommerce.zip on your computer and click Install Now
  • When installation is done please click Activate to activate your newly installed Product Loops for WooCommerce plugin

Product Loops for WooCommerce is now running!

Installing using FTP

Follow the steps bellow to install using FTP

  • Unzip product-loops-woocommerce.zip to a desired location on your HDD. These extracted files will be uploaded later via FTP
  • Connect to your server via FTP (Use FileZilla or any other FTP client)
  • Navigate to /wp-content/plugins/ server directory
  • Locate the local directory where you have unzipped the product-loops-woocommerce.zip archive
  • Upload local folder /product-loops/ to remote /wp-content/plugins/
  • To activate the newly installed plugin navigate to Plugins and click the Activate button

Product Loops for WooCommerce is now running!

1.3 Automatic Updates

Plugin automatic updates are available! Just use Envato Market (https://envato.com/market-plugin/) plugin!

To get automatic updates within your website WordPress Dashboard use the Envato Market (https://envato.com/market-plugin/) plugin. This plugin, once installed, will allow you to update all plugins and themes purchased on CodeCanyon or Themeforest, so feel free to use this standardized solution! To get this to work, you need to navigate here → Envato Market (https://envato.com/market-plugin/) and install and activate this plugin. Once done, plugin will connect to the Envato platform and acquire your purchase information. Then you can update all plugins and themes directly in your WordPress Dashboard! Sounds awesome!

How to use the customizer?

2.1 Using the Product Loops for WooCommerce in Shop/Product Archives

Awesome product loops for your website, no coding skills required!

Product Loops for WooCommerce is a simple plugin that will automatically integrate itself in the WooCommerce interface. To further setup the plugin please navigate WooCommerce > Settings > Product Loops section and setup the basic settings. Create a couple of loop presets with the preset manager and assign product loops to your website! If you want ot use the loops with the shorcodes or WP Bakery Page Builder WooCommerce Elements read the next section!

2.2 WooCommerce Shortcodes, WP Bakery Page Builder WooCommerce Elements and Product Filter Shortcode

Product loops and shortcodes!

To use Product Loops for WooCommerce in shortcodes use the product_loops="loop-preset-slug-here" in WooCommerce or Product Filter for WooCommerce shortcodes. If you want to add custom overrides, this is also possible. Here are some samples: product_loops="loop-preset-slug-here-no1" product_loops_overrides="featured:loop-preset-slug-here-no2;product_tag:my-tag-slug:loop-preset-slug-here-no3" - Will add to featured products the "loop-preset-slug-here" loop and the tagged products with "my-tag-slug" will get "loop-preset-slug-here-no2".

2.3 Product Loops Demos! NEW

Product Loops Demos! Just set the options as explained in here and you're good to go!

Demos are explained below! To import demo content follow these steps:

  1. Copy contents of the DEMOS.TXT file to clipboard. To do this, click here DEMOS.TXT press CTRL + A to select all, then CTRL + C to copy to clipboard.
  2. Navigate to your website WordPress Dashboard > WooCommerce > Settings and click the Product Loops tab from the top menu.
  3. Under the welcome Dashboard find Plugin Options and click Import.
  4. Textarea will appear above. Click on this textarea field and press CTRL + V to paste the options you have copied.
  5. Once you have pasted the options click Import again.
  6. Page will refresh upon improt, but we are not done yet!!
  7. Click Save! This is important to generate the CSS stylesheet!
  8. Once options are imported and saved, you can visit your Shop page to see the results. If you want to recreate one of the demos check shortcodes below.

Demos can be used in Shop pages too, but we have made samples for their use in shortcodes! Parameter product_loops_overrides="" in Demo #3 is used for display with variety. If you want this in your Shop page use the tag or category assigned loops.

2.3.1 Demo #1

Simple to start! Set the options as in the following screenshot. Additionally, fine tune these settings according to your wishes. If you want to assign this style to your Shop/Product Archives navigate Assign Product Loops and set the Shop Product Loop option to this preset. Related, up-sells and cross-sell product loops are supported too! You can even use these with shortcodes like this → [recent_products product_loops="classic-demo-1"]

2.3.2 Demo #2

Awesome features! Set the options as in the following screenshot. Additionally, fine tune these settings according to your wishes. If you want to assign this style to your Shop/Product Archives navigate Assign Product Loops and set the Shop Product Loop option to this preset. Related, up-sells and cross-sell product loops are supported too! You can even use these with shortcodes like this → [recent_products product_loops="elegant-demo-2"]

2.3.3 Demo #3

Demo #3 has 3 different styles assigned to different product tags to get that colorful look! Make 3 presets, and set the options as in the following screenshots. Additionally, fine tune these settings according to your wishes. If you want to assign this style to your Shop/Product Archives navigate Assign Product Loops and set the Shop Product Loop option to this preset. To assign different presets on tags or categories use the Assign Product Loops option. Click Add Item + to add style to tags or categories. Assign these three styles to different parent categories for instance and the effect will be seen. You can even use these with shortcodes like this → [recent products product_loops="loop-preset-slug-here-no1" product_loops_overrides="product_cat:15:boxed-1-demo-3;product_cat:20:boxed-2-demo-3;product_cat:205:boxed-3-demo-3" These numbebrs arfter the product_cat are IDs of your categories. This way you can even make overrides for shortcodes!

2.3.4 Demo #4

List mode! Set the options as in the following screenshot. Additionally, fine tune these settings according to your wishes. If you want to assign this style to your Shop/Product Archives navigate Assign Product Loops and set the Shop Product Loop option to this preset. Related, up-sells and cross-sell product loops are supported too! You can even use these with shortcodes like this → [recent_products product_loops="inside-demo-4"] To get the List/Grid switcher use the shortcode [product_loops_grid_table] If you put a shortcode into a wrapper with an id my-special-id like this <div id="my-special-id">[recent_products product_loops="inside-demo-4"]</div> then you can use the switcher shortcode to target this particular element like so [product_loops_grid_table look_in="my-special-id"]

2.3.5 Demo #5

Any style, literally! Set the options as in the following screenshot. Additionally, fine tune these settings according to your wishes. If you want to assign this style to your Shop/Product Archives navigate Assign Product Loops and set the Shop Product Loop option to this preset. Related, up-sells and cross-sell product loops are supported too! You can even use these with shortcodes like this → [recent_products product_loops="classic-demo-2"]

2.3.6 Demo #6

Show any attribute! Set the options as in the following screenshot. Additionally, fine tune these settings according to your wishes. If you want to assign this style to your Shop/Product Archives navigate Assign Product Loops and set the Shop Product Loop option to this preset. Related, up-sells and cross-sell product loops are supported too! You can even use these with shortcodes like this → [recent_products product_loops="theme-style-demo-5"]
